I've tried to split the MEGAPRIME@CFHT science data.
But got strange results... All splited fits have a width 8 px!

hi oleg,

without further details i cannot help. at least the logfile should be sent along.

in addition, you should get the elixir pre-processed images from the CFHT archive instead of the fully raw data.

Hi Mischa,

What is the procedure after "Preparation" and before the "Coaddition" for Elixir pre-processed fits?

Are flates and biases needed?

you go right away to creating the global weights ("same weight for all pixels"), then proceed as usual.
you don't need any calibration files.

the reason why the images were 8 pixels broad is most likely that they were compressed with 'fpack', and would have to be uncompressed first.

OK! Many thanks!

I've unpacked all *.fits.fz to *.fits
